Amersham Community Choir Privacy Notice

Amersham Community Choir (ACC) is a social organisation which is open to all and whose ethos is singing for pleasure, facilitating friendship and support for local charities.

What information do we collect about you?

We collect personal information about you when you register with the choir either using the online form on our website or by filling out a registration form. Once registered we also invite you, at your discretion, to update your personal information, and to provide additional administrative information, using a private link through our website. We keep records of membership and music payments and attendance at rehearsals.

Our website is protected by strong encryption and HTTPS secure communication. Other sensitive information is kept in password protected files.

How will we use the information about you?

We collect information about you to help the choir to contact you to keep you up to date with the activities and events run by the choir and to help with the organisation of events and resources.

Personal information is retained as long as you are a member of the choir. Information relating to a specific term or year is deleted after the end of each term/year.

Amersham Community Choir will not share your information with any external individual or organisation except to fulfil a legal obligation.

Communicating with you and use of photography

When you register with the choir you are asked to give or decline consent to Amersham Community Choir contacting you via email and to the use of your photograph in publicity materials and online. Primarily, the information we send you will be about events and activities that the ACC organises, but we may also send information about other organisations, events and activities that we endorse.

If you have consented to receive communications, and/or for your photograph to be published, you may opt out at a later date. You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for communication purposes and/or from using your photograph in any material.

You also have the right to ask us to delete any or all of the information we hold on you at any time. However, should you choose to follow this option, it will limit our ability to keep you informed of choir activities.

Access to your information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email or write to us using the contact details below.

We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You can access and update your own information using the unique link sent to you when you register, or you may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.
