The Beacon Voices and Young Voices
Choral singing is very strong at the Beacon School and there are weekly singing clubs open to any boy who would like to sing, regardless of ability, from Year 1 upwards. There are two school chamber choirs – the Beacon Voices and the Young Voices, who perform regularly both within school and locally at various charitable concerts and events.

Pete FloryPeter Flory
Music for Peter started around the corner from King’s Church at Raans school. Here Peter first encountered a 4 string instrument, although a lot lighter in the form of a violin! Those same 4 notes are still with him but now on the bass guitar where they are presented the other way around in 4ths rather 5ths! On his musical journey through life Peter also self taught himself the guitar, piano/keyboard and organ. Over the years, most of the call for his bass playing has been with the Chrysalis Arts Trust based in Chesham, but he has also been spotted masquerading as a young person, playing bass in various youth bands! He is delighted to continue working with the Amersham Community Choir.
